RACE INFORMATION
WHEN: August 6, 2016 | 8AM Check-In & T-Shirt Pick-up | 9AM Race Start
WHERE: Rave Training Center (Parking available at Rave, Moose Lodge and Food Lion Parking Lot)
COST: $25 per runner up until race day | $35 per runner day of race
COURSE: This year the race will be run in "laps" on a course marked out at the Rave
WHY: A 5K & 1 Mile fun run/walk event to raise money for VA Rush Coaches Education and Licensing. The objective of this event is to educate coaches in the Recreational, SOE, Advanced and Competitive programs to develop better players and enhance the VA Rush experience for everyone. CHARITY: The Write Stuff Campaign | Make a donation by bringing any new/unopened school supplies to support children in need in Hampton Roads. For every donation made, you will receive a "Door Prize Ticket" for entry into the drawing to win door prizes at the Season Kick-Off Party later that night. Donations will be distributed by the Salvation Army just in time for the new school year.
RACE SWAG: Each runner will receive a 5K race t-shirt, race bib and VA Rush 5K finishing medal. Runners will also receive entrance into the VA Rush Season Kick-Off Party. Your race bib will serve as your ticket into the party!
All runners will be entered for a chance to win race "awards."

Come celebrate and kickoff the 2016/2017 season with us!

COST: $10 for Party Only up until day of the party (Included in Race Ticket if you purchased ticket) | $15 day of the party
FOOD: All ticket holders will receive (1) meal ticket (hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken + sides) and (1) drink ticket. Additional food and adult beverages are available with donations.
ACTIVITIES: Party will have a DJ, Kickball Tournament ($10 per team - see below), Knockerball (Bubble Soccer), Soccer Tennis, Hula Hoop Contest, Sack Races, Cornhole, Pie in Rush Coach's Faces, Face Painting, Balloon Making, Bounce Houses, Door Prizes, Raffle | Some activities will require cash, others will require tickets to be purchased at the party.
KICKBALL TOURNAMENT: Get together a team of 8 to 11 people and sign up to play in the Kickball Tournament. When purchasing your race ticket or Party Ticket, you can add-on and register your kickball team. If you did not register when purchasing your tickets, you can register separately below.
GEAR EXCHANGE: Bring any Virginia Rush uniforms and training gear to the party that may not fit anymore to swap out with other players who bring gear to swap. Your VA Rush gear may no longer be good for you, but could be good for another player. Anything left over and not claimed will go to the Rush Soccer Reach Program.
