R.E.A.C.H. (Rush Eager to Assist Children)

The Rush Soccer Club prides itself on a strong community connection.  The REACH program allows players and families in the Virginia Rush to come together to help improve the lives of those around us.  Members can get involved with any of the following programs to help foster our mission of creating the "total" soccer player and teaching our players to give back to their community.

"IN GEAR" EQUIPMENT ASSISTANCE

The "In Gear" branch assists the soccer playing community worldwide by providing gently used soccer equipment to players in areas of indigence and financial need. Since the program's inception, thousands of balls, shoes, shin guards, uniforms, and other equipment have been placed in the hands of children locally and around the world.

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer)

The Virginia Rush "Thunder" team is part of the TOPSoccer Program, a soccer environment for children with special needs.  Located on both the Southside and the Peninsula, the TOPSoccer Program involves over 25 players each season and approximately 200 "buddies" from the Virginia Rush Soccer Club to work one on one with a child with special needs!

BENEFIT TOURNAMENTS

Annually, the Virginia Rush hosts a small-sided, one-day tournament benefiting Operation Smile.  Since the inception of the first Fun Fours in 2000, the Club has striven to fulfill Operation Smile's mission of, “Mobilizing a world of generous hearts to heal children's smiles and transform lives across the globe.”
